What are your power requirements?Rest assured, all our coffee equipment can be plugged into standard outlets – no special plugs needed. Every cart requires its own individual circuit for power. This means that in practical terms, we only need to connect each cart to a separate wall outlet since outlets on the same wall often share a circuit. If you're opting for just one coffee cart, power supply won't be a concern. Here are the technical power specifications: One barista: One (1) dedicated 15 amp circuit, 120 volt Two baristas: Two (2) dedicated 15 amp circuits, 120 volt (30 amps total) Three baristas: Three (3) dedicated 15 amp circuits, 120 volt (45 amps total) Four baristas: Four (4) dedicated 15 amp circuits, 120 volt (60 amps total) Five baristas: Five (5) dedicated 15 amp circuits, 120 volt (75 amps total) Six baristas: Six (6) dedicated 15 amp circuits, 120 volt (90 amps total)

How many baristas will I need? For optimal cost-effectiveness, we suggest considering an extended service duration. For expedited service, we recommend augmenting the barista team. Given that each of our adept baristas is capable of serving over 50 drinks per hour, you can ensure smooth service by elongating the service time, allowing a single barista to cater to all your attendees. To illustrate, a lone barista could satisfactorily serve up to 150 guests within a 3-hour period. However, if your event possesses a restricted service duration but a substantial number of guests, multiple baristas will be essential.
-
How much space do you need? Each cart spans 4 feet in length and 2 feet in width. To ensure adequate space for each barista to stand and operate behind the cart, we kindly request a minimum area of 5 feet by 5 feet per cart.
-
Can people pay for their own drinks during an event?Regrettably, this isn't feasible as it would necessitate extra personnel, equipment, and a distinct point of sale system. Our services exclusively encompass comprehensive catering agreements, with an unwavering commitment to ensuring an exceptional experience for you and all event attendees.
-
How far do you travel? We are delighted to journey to any location within a 150-mile radius of our nearest Vim Coffee HQ. In fact, there have been instances where we've undertaken journeys of up to 1200 miles each direction for certain events! Should the distance exceed 150 miles, please be aware that extra charges for travel and accommodations may apply.
-
Do you offer a discount if I only want a limited menu at my event?Unfortunately no. Our pricing structure is determined by the duration of service and the quantity of drinks served. Therefore, narrowing down the menu does not result in any discounted rates. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
-
Can you serve outdoors?Absolutely! We thoroughly enjoy providing service in both indoor and outdoor settings. However, should there be an abundance of cold, wind, or precipitation, there might be a necessity to either relocate indoors or reschedule the service. For outdoor service, we have two prerequisites: A shelter or awning to provide shade and weather protection. If the temperature drops to 40°F or below, it's essential to provide a propane heater for each barista. Additionally, the service area must have three sides enclosed.
-
What are your venue requirements? Our requirements are minimal: Accessibility for wheelchairs at the service location (as our equipment is cart-based). Availability of on-site power (though we bring our own extension cords). A designated site contact person who can greet our baristas and guide them for setup. Adequate space for setup.
-
Do you need access to a sink? No, apart from our requirements for space and power, our cart is entirely self-contained.
-
Can you set up your equipment on our counter/bar/table?Yes! We have plumbing solutions that make it possible for our set up to operate on any space that is at least 3 feet wide and 2.5 feet deep. We do require space underneath the counter for our water and pup system so please inquire about any special set ups.
